The Saga of the TV!

Well, rather than blog about it, I just copied the following off of Facebook!  I wrote it as Tom was talking to various people, first the "Geek Squad" or "Black Tie Service"??  Then Panasonic, then the repair service in Pueblo.  After well over an hour on the phone, the simple ending was too funny!

Our NEW Panasonic HD Flatscreen tv just went out. Argh

Okay, I took a shower while he's STILL on phone. Now it's to Panasonic, it's under "double warranty" and Panasonic is first?? Now they want us to take it off the wall (that takes three people) and remove ALL wires, cable, speakers etc., and plug it back in and tell them what it does. Tom said no - it sizzled, and we don't want to plug it back in. He told them he felt it would be hazardous to our home. So now we have to call a repair service??? Good Grief. All this for a television that's less than three months old???

What ever happened to Old Fashioned SERVICE????? And we paid how many hundreds for this warranty??

    • Judy Brooks McCormick Okay, we called the repair service in Pueblo, they simply diagnosed it over phone, part is on order, should be in Monday. Now was that REALLY so hard?????

  1. Just as a follow-up. TV was fixed in good time, by D&D Electronics in Pueblo. It's back, hope for good! But D&D was very professional, friendly, and got the job done! Thanks Dave!

  2. And another follow-up: D&D Electronics never was paid by Panasonic, they told him they had changed their warranty on this tv - Best Buy's expensive warranty doesn't kick in for a year (that we paid hundreds for) so lesson learned: Don't buy from Best Buy.
We are still having problems with this tv and now can't get it fixed. . . May take an attorney.
